In case you missed it, Peabody’s Metropolitan Mine has AGAIN spilled a whole bunch of coal waste into Camp Gully Creek, near Helensburgh, on the 6th August. This lovely little creek feeds into the Hacking River, which flows right through the Royal National Park. The EPA issued a clean-up notice on the 7th August.
POWA peeps visited the creek on the 13th August (1 week post-spill), and again on the 30th August. Here are some videos and photos from those trips.
